EXPERIENCE: SELECTED WORKS
THE BRIDGE DISTRICT, West SacramentoHow do you sell what doesn't exist? This was the challenge faced by The Bridge District, a new residential development in West Sacramento. The Department of Here's Josh Levine flipped the challenge into an advantage by framing its newness as opportunity, shortening the name for campaigns to TBD. Created with our friends at hdsf.com.
THE SHOPS AT TODOS SANTOS, ConcordWorking with Long Market Property Partners, the Department of Here crafted a brand story and messaging package to redefine the retail district as an oasis of the hard to find good life in the Bay Area.
AMAZON HQ2 BID, SacramentoIn partnership with Greater Sacramento, the capital region's chamber of commerce, the Department of Here wrote the narrative framing for the region's bid for Amazon's second HQ.
YERBA BUENA, San FranciscoMost neighborhoods are defined by their boundaries, but Yerba Buena is defined by its intersections, of streets, cultures, and workers. Hired by the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District, the Department of Here's Josh Levine helped uncover and tell a new brand story to reflect the up-and-coming neighborhood's personality. Developed in conjunction with our friends at Tomorrow Partners.
WORLD CUP VIEW PARTY, San FranciscoWorking with the SF Recreation & Parks Department, the Department of Here's Lev Kushner envisioned and executed the month-long World Cup 2010 Viewing Party, a month-long event that transformed Civic Center Plaza into the city's living room, hyper-activating the space and offering a broad range of food, furniture, and games to combat the plaza's damaged public reputation.
YANKEES' REDEVLOPMENT, New York CityAs apart of the NYC Parks Department, the Department of Here's Lev Kushner spearheaded the full entitlement of the new Yankee Stadium and adjacent parks in the contentious South Bronx, crafting a story of neighborhood renewal via new flagship parks and community design initiatives. The project achieved full approval in under 18 months.
Department of Here worked with us to find and tell the story beyond the numbers. Their work helped us secure better, higher-paying tenants and increase the overall project value. And they were a blast to work with.
DANNY GOLDBERG, PRINCIPAL
LONG MARKET PROPERTY PARTNERS
Department of Here was fantastic. They knew exactly how to help us and our partners tell the stories that reflect what we're all about. They made everyone feel comfortable and it was way more fun and energizing than we expected.
